Panic Pulse makes it easy to track subjective anxiety levels (Subjective Units of Distress, or SUDs) throughout a stressful activity. I found work to be stressful so my counselor had me write down my anxiety level on a 0-100 scale at 15-minute intervals. I got tired of setting alarms and carrying paper and pen around, so I made an app to do it for me.

When you first start a session, Panic Pulse prompts you for your current level of anxiety. Then, at 15-minute intervals, youll get a notification which will prompt you for the peak anxiety over the last 15 minutes as well as your current anxiety. When youre done, just hit the stop button and it will prompt you for peak and final values one last time. And thats it!

If you (or your counselor, if you have one) want a paper copy of your sessions, you can print reports right from the app.

Most of the functionality is customizable:
• The available interval lengths range from 10 minutes to 2 hours.
• The sessions displayed can be filtered to show all sessions, just todays, or several period lengths in between.
• You can print a report of the last weeks sessions or all sessions starting at any date that you choose.
• You can add comments to the beginning and end of your sessions (e.g. I often add a comment that Im working from home).
• There is a configurable "start of week" setting which is used when filtering sessions or printing reports. Typically this will be the day after your counseling appointment, so that printing a one-week report captures all the sessions since your last appointment.
